Arrest of Two Suspected Tricycle Thieves in Enugu

Enugu State Command has apprehended two individuals believed to be involved in tricycle theft. The suspects have appeared in court and are now in custody.

Friday Ogbu, aged 31, and Onovo Sunday Udochukwu, aged 34, were apprehended by the Enugu State Command at Achara Layout on suspicion of tricycle theft. The police spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed their arrest in a statement dated Thursday, July 4, 2024.

According to the statement, “The suspects, Friday Ogbu and Onovo Sunday Udochukwu, were captured by police operatives for allegedly stealing a tricycle from Achara Layout, Enugu on the night of June 22, 2024. They have been presented before the Enugu South Magistrate Court and are currently held in the Correctional Custodial Centre,”

     

“The stolen tricycle was recovered upon the arrest of the suspects, and the rightful owner positively identified it.

     

“The suspects are facing charges of conspiracy and theft.”
