Arrests Made in Connection with Selling Two-Month-Old Baby

Police Arrest Five For Selling Two Month Old Baby (via Primetweets)
Following a statement from the Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, five individuals, including a couple, have been apprehended by the Police Command in Lagos for their alleged involvement in the sale of a two-month-old baby.

It was disclosed by Hundeyin that detectives from the Oko-oba Police Division took the suspects into custody after receiving a report from the mother of the infant boy.

According to the spokesperson, the child’s mother reported that one of the suspects disappeared with her son on July 11 to an undisclosed location.

During the course of the investigation, Gloria was apprehended, and upon questioning, confessed to selling the baby for ₦500,000 to an individual named Pastor Peter.

Pastor Peter, who was subsequently apprehended in Ikene Town, Ogun State, admitted to reselling the child for N1.4 million to a person called Loretta.

Further unfolding of events revealed that Loretta, who was arrested in Festac Town, Lagos, admitted to selling the baby for N2.3 million.

In addition, investigative efforts resulted in the apprehension of the ultimate buyers of the baby, a couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. James, during the naming ceremony of the abducted child.

It was stated by the spokesperson that “All suspects will be presented in court after the completion of investigations.”
