Fire Devastates Popular Market in Damaturu

A significant fire broke out at the well-known Bayan Tasha market in Damaturu, resulting in extensive damage to shops and merchandise valued at millions of Naira.

The source of the fire, which occurred late at night, has not yet been determined.

Fortunately, the blaze was brought under control thanks to the prompt actions of firefighters and the assistance of local citizens.

At the time of this report, there were no fatalities; however, many items and property were lost in the fire.

Mustapha Mohammed Gujba, a local resident, expressed his thoughts about the incident on Facebook, stating:

“Today, we received news about a fire at the market behind the motor park in Damaturu town.”

“To those who have been affected, we pray that Allah provides you solace and replaces your losses with something better.”
