Central Bank of Nigeria Urged to Increase Naira Note Supply Ahead of Ramadan by Chief Imam

Sheikh Yahya Al-Yolawi, the Chief Imam of Nurul Yaqeen Jumma’at Mosque Life Camp in Abuja, has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to issue more redesigned naira notes before the start of Ramadan. During his Jumma’at sermon, titled “The Significance of Ramadan Fast: Health, Spiritual, Social and Psychological Benefits of Ramadan Fast”, Al-Yolawi noted that Muslims spend more money on charitable activities and food during the holy month. He added that cash flow was essential for the growth and development of businesses, and that people were in need of money for Ramadan expenses. The cleric concluded his sermon by asking Allah to make it easier for everyone.
