A prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party, Dele Momodu, has leveled accusations against President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress.
He asserts that only a united front can take down Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections.
Momodu claimed that the APC is actively attempting to fragment the PDP.
He made these comments on Tuesday during a segment of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State’s monthly program.
Momodu stated, “The APC feels threatened by the PDP. They recognize this party as the sole viable opposition capable of challenging their hold in 2027.”
“This fear drives the APC’s leadership at all levels to ensure internal divisions within the party.”
“Additionally, some of its own members are being manipulated to undermine the party’s unity and development.”
He emphasized that only a robust coalition could effectively displace Tinubu from his position in 2027.
“Furthermore, any candidate aiming to compete effectively against the current president should ideally come from a different region of Nigeria,” he added.
