In light of recent criticism, he posted a heartfelt video addressing his new wife, Natasha Osawaru, along with his children and supporters.

Nigerian humorist Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has come forward to support music icon Innocent Idibia, or 2Baba, after the artist’s public acknowledgment of his partner, Natasha Osawaru.

Recently, the renowned musician stirred up controversy with his statement that men are not inherently designed for exclusive sexual commitments.

In response to the public outcry, he shared a heartfelt video, expressing regret to his new spouse, Natasha Osawaru, their children, and his fans.

In reaction to the criticism, AY took to social media to encourage others to look past judgment and recognize the human aspect of men in the public eye.

He characterized 2Baba as a person facing immense pressure who accepted accountability not due to perfection, but because of his humanity.

AY highlighted how men are conditioned to suppress their feelings, and when they finally express themselves, they are often misinterpreted, ignored, or held accountable.

He stated: “It’s often easy to throw stones at those deemed guilty. Few take a moment to ask the basic, human question, ‘Are you alright?’ And when they do, it is rarely without ulterior motives. Genuine concern is scarce.

“I witnessed a man under strain acknowledging his mistakes. Not from a place of flawlessness, but from being human. As men, we’re taught to endure in silence. Regardless of whether we are right or wrong, we’re told to ‘man up.’ When we do find the courage to speak out, it seldom ends positively. We face blame. Misinterpretation. Dismissal.

“Our openness does not shield us; instead, it makes us vulnerable. Whoever gets caught is labeled a thief.”
