Concern Over North’s Agenda to Oust Tinubu and Its Potential Impact on Nigeria

Norths Plan to Unseat Tinubu Could Destabilize Nigeria — Shehu

Shehu Sani, the former senator representing Kaduna Central, has voiced caution to Northern leaders contemplating the removal of President Bola Tinubu, citing the threat such a move poses to Nigeria’s unity.

During an interview with Arise Television, monitored by DAILY POST, Sani emphasized the importance for Northern leaders to align with policies and initiatives of the Tinubu government that could benefit the Northern region, rather than solely pursuing political dominance.

With Northern Nigeria grappling with challenges such as insecurity and poverty, Sani highlighted the pressing need for Northern leaders to tackle these issues.

He warned against a push from political forces in the North, led by former President Buhari, to oust Tinubu’s administration under the guise of championing Northern interests, cautioning that such actions could have grave consequences for Nigeria’s stability.

Sani underscored the imperative of prioritizing national unity and peace over personal and regional ambitions, pointing out the fragility of Nigeria as a nation.

While urging Northern leaders to address the challenges in their region, Sani also called on Tinubu’s administration to consider implementing restructuring as a systemic approach to addressing the country’s underdevelopment issues.
