Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has criticized President Bola Tinubu for misleading the public about Nigeria’s economic situation.
In an interview with Arise TV, Momodu revealed that despite Tinubu’s aides defending the government in public, they express dissatisfaction with the administration behind closed doors.
Momodu, a supporter of the EndBadGovernance movement, expressed deep concern over the current state of governance in Nigeria, stating that the country has never experienced such challenges before.
He emphasized that even Tinubu’s closest aides acknowledge the existing governance issues but refrain from addressing them directly to the president.
Momodu, who considers Tinubu a friend, mentioned that if anyone were to be honest with him, he would be the one to point out that Tinubu is surrounded by dishonest individuals.
As a former presidential candidate, Momodu highlighted the need for Tinubu to take decisive actions to reduce the excessive costs of governance in the country.
He suggested measures such as merging ministries to streamline operations and cutting down on unnecessary appointments to improve governance efficiency.
