The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has strongly denied claims suggesting that he is part of a secret cult.

The rumors emerged from a viral video that alleged Idahosa and other prominent individuals in Edo State were involved in various cult activities. In response, the Deputy Governor labeled these allegations as false, damaging, and completely unfounded.

Idahosa expressed his intent to take legal action against the claims, which he believes are a calculated effort to damage his image and undermine his dedication to public service.

In a personal statement, Idahosa remarked on the accusations made by Emmanuel Agbogun, who identified him among those allegedly connected to secret cults.

“I have been made aware of a video circulating on social media in which Emmanuel Agbogun falsely claims that I, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Dennis Idahosa, Deputy Governor of Edo State, belong to a secret cult,”
he stated.

“I firmly declare that these allegations are unfounded, malicious, and misleading. They are a deliberate attempt to damage my hard-earned reputation and question my commitment to public service,”
added Idahosa.

He reiterated that the present administration is dedicated to a strict policy against cultism and other social issues. Idahosa believes the allegations serve to divert attention from the government’s ongoing efforts to combat cultism and restore peace in Edo State.

“The assertion that I am linked to any secret cult is completely false. I firmly deny any involvement in cult-related activities, past or present,” Idahosa asserted.

He reaffirmed his dedication to integrity and accountability as Deputy Governor, promising to pursue all legal options available to address the defamation.

Additionally, Idahosa emphasized his personal beliefs, making it clear:

“For clarity, I am not, and have never been, a member of any secret cult. I am a Christian and a devoted follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ,”
he stated.

The Deputy Governor urged the citizens of Edo State to remain alert and support efforts to eliminate cultism, emphasizing the importance of peace, justice, and progress.

Idahosa’s remarks highlight the administration’s determination to eradicate cult-related issues, which he characterized as detrimental to communities and a barrier to the state’s development.
