New Alaafin of Oyo Receives Staff of Office

Abimbola Owoade, the newly appointed Alaafin of Oyo, has officially been presented with his Staff of Office by Governor Seyi Makinde.

This ceremony took place on Monday at the governor’s office in Ibadan, the capital of the state.

Previously, it was reported that Owoade was set to receive both his appointment letter and the staff of office on that day.

A reliable government source mentioned, “Prince Owoade is in the town and will receive his appointment letter from the state government tomorrow (Monday) to commence his duties as Alaafin.”

Governor Makinde’s approval for Owoade’s appointment was made public in a statement released on Friday by Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation.
