Governor Monday Okpebholo
In a recent ceremony, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State officially appointed Barr. Musa Ikhilor as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Hon Samson Osagie as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
A press release from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, confirmed that these appointments took place just a day after the Governor took office.
The new Attorney-General received his confirmation from the State House of Assembly earlier that week.
While swearing in his first appointees, Governor Okpebholo emphasized the importance of teamwork in realizing his vision for the state, urging them to prioritize the needs of the citizens.
“I have been entrusted to lead, and we all must be prepared to contribute. These individuals were chosen for their integrity. Let’s collaborate to achieve our goals.”
“I committed to delivering the best for our community during my campaign, and these selections reflect that dedication. We have much more to accomplish ahead”, he stated.
In his remarks, SSG Ikhilor expressed commitment to assisting the Governor in achieving his campaign commitments, aiming for significant progress within the state.
Attorney-General Osagie also promised to support the Governor’s initiatives, focusing on safeguarding the rights of the people of Edo.
