A distressing video captured a woman sobbing uncontrollably due to hunger while participating in a protest to address the difficult living conditions in the country.
The woman, visibly emotional, carried an empty pot on her head, standing out among the crowd of demonstrators gathered at the location.
Her cry about the severe hunger she is enduring resonated with many who witnessed her emotional display.
Speaking in Yoruba, she could be heard repeating “Ebi o, ebi o,” which translates to ‘hunger, hunger,’ as tears streamed down her face.
