Late COAS Lagbaja Laid To Rest Amid Tears Tributes (via Primetweets)

General Taoreed Lagbaja, the former Chief of Army Staff, has been laid to rest.

His burial took place in Abuja, surrounded by heartfelt tributes and mourning, concluding a distinguished military journey that lasted many years.

The service was held at the National Cemetery, following two days of commemorative events that began in Lagos earlier in the week.

He was interred at precisely 4:41 pm, following a ceremony that spanned over two hours.

Lagbaja’s coffin, adorned with Nigeria’s national colors of green and white, arrived at the cemetery around 3 pm, following a funeral service at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.

Prior to the burial, a memorial service was conducted the day before at the Army Headquarters Garrison Parade Ground, located at Mogadishu Cantonment in Abuja.

The body of the late General was flown in by the Nigerian Air Force, landing at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 12:15 pm on Thursday.
