As part of her New 12 months decision, Tonto in the morning of Friday, January thirteen, 2017, made up our minds to make peace with
Mercy Johnson-Okojie (MJ) and her harmless daughter Purity whom she had referred to as a witch barely after she was once born.
The mummy of one took to her Instagram page to beg for Mercy’s forgiveness given that she abused her on social media, Twitter. She wrote:

“Good morning world Since I have your undivided attention I better make good use of it and not miss the blessing in this lesson!!!@mercyjohnsonokojie Ever since I had my baby I have been reminded constantly about an ill statement I made about one of your kids a very long time ago.I want to use this media to say I am so sorry,I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart.I had no right to say what I did,I totally disgraced myself with that.As a mom I do realize a lot of things I take in because of the love of my son and I know you only took my insult because of that same love..I am sorry MJ,I am sorry to your lil’ girl or boy..We don’t have to love each other to realize when we are/went wrong••I have/had no excuse for my behaviour and I also apologize to the fans I hurt/Let down with my words that day many years ago ..To Err is human but to forgive is divine!!!Am not trying to be the better person,You deserve this apology for your Child for the Love I have for God..I found God and everything in my life changed,Let me tell you about him sometime..God bless you and yours!!! When Tonto had called out and till now Mercy has displayed maturity and the same she displayed as she told Tonto she has forgiven her and even remembered her in a prayers a day before her begging for forgiveness. Read Mercy’s response below:

In July 2013, Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh had lambasted her colleague, Mercy Johnson, for hitting location barely two months after giving birth to her first child, Purity.

Tonto had then called Mercy all sorts of names alleging Mercy’s husband pushed into acting because they were broke. She also called MJ’s daughter Purity a witch when she tweeted:
Then Tonto gave no chill to anybody but now after her marriage and eventually the birth of her son, the fiery Tonto Dikeh gave way to a born again actress.
Tonto and Mercy’s fight predates her calling MJ out after she gave birth to Purity. The two of them have being at war over who is superior in the industry as it was said that Tonto only get roles rejected by Mercy. They were alleged to even engaged each other in a fight on a movie set in 2011.
Yeah, Mercy is really matured and Tonto is now acting as one.
