The state police have assured that there is no need for concern regarding the recent incident.
On Sunday, a petrol tanker caught fire and exploded on the Mbiama-Yenagoa Road in Akenfa-3, Bayelsa State.
State police spokesperson Musa Mohammed confirmed that the situation is under control and reassured the public that there is no cause for alarm.
He mentioned that both the tanker and a nearby tricycle, known locally as Keke, were involved in the fire, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
The police and the Federal Fire Service acted quickly to manage and control the fire, ensuring the safety of all individuals in the area.
