A well-known Islamic scholar, Sheikh Isma’eel Gausi, has been taken by bandits in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The incident occurred when the gunmen abducted Gausi and his students from his home on Wednesday night, August 7, 2024.
Witnesses revealed that the bandits raided his residence, firing guns before taking the victims to an undisclosed location.
A local resident described the situation saying, “The noise of gunshots was alarming. We saw the bandits forcefully taking away the Sheikh and his students.”
The family members are distressed and are urging the security forces to act swiftly.
“We are deeply concerned and appeal to the authorities to ensure the safe return of our loved ones,” a family member expressed.
