Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham’s Expensive Skincare Secret? Placenta.

Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham are two of the world’s most stylish celebrities. Both women are high-powered entertainers who pursue business ventures, both are moms, and both have managed to stay relevant in their chosen fields for decades.

The two women have something else in common. As recently revealed in an article from Harper’s Bazaar, both Lopez and Beckham share a love for a particularly bizarre skincare ingredient that helps to keep them looking totally fabulous

Jennifer Lopez is known for her ‘glow’

Lopez has been active in Hollywood for decades. She initially rose to prominence as a dancer before transitioning her attention to acting. Lopez has had a hugely successful acting career and has appeared in romantic comedies such as The Wedding Planner, Monster-In-Law, Maid in Manhattan, and Second Act.

She has also continued to pursue her love of music and has released several popular songs over the years. The multi-talented performer has curated fragrance and makeup lines, proving that she is a savvy businesswoman as well.

Throughout all of her day-to-day activities, Lopez always looks amazing. She has become well-known for her signature “glow.” Her skin almost appears to be “lit from within,” whether she happens to be wearing makeup or not.

While Lopez’s strict diet and exercise routine have a lot to do with how amazing she looks, she is also a skincare devotee and uses a lot of expensive products, including cleansers, moisturizers, serums, and masks, in order to keep her skin smooth, line-free, and glowing.

Victoria Beckham’s luxurious beauty routine

Beckham became famous in the mid-nineties when her group The Spice Girls became famous all around the world. As Posh Spice, Beckham was one of the most fabulous members of the group, known for her striking style, blunt haircut, sassy comebacks, and whip-thin figure.

When she met and married international soccer superstar David Beckham, the former girl group member reached a whole new audience of fans. The two have been married for years now and have four children, but Victoria Beckham is as iconic as ever.

These days, she spends the majority of her time managing her growing businesses and relaxing with her family.

Her incredible looks aren’t the result of not paying attention to her skin. Beckham spends a significant amount of time each day on her skin and uses a wide variety of products in order to make sure that she always looks flawless.

In fact, a recent breakdown of her skincare and beauty routine revealed that her specific everyday routine costs well over $1,000. When it comes to specialty treatments such as facials, both Beckham and Lopez have equally expensive tastes.

Harper’s Bazaar recently did a feature on super-expensive skincare treatments that certain celebrities favor. According to their report, Lopez likes to get a placenta facial when she feels like her skin needs a boost.

The treatment costs $1,200 per week and while it might sound unappealing, the “vitamin and protein-rich elements” contained in the placenta are supposed to help the skin to regenerate and appear softer, smoother, and more supple.

Beckham also favors a similar treatment: a sheep placenta facial that costs around $635 per treatment. Reportedly, the ingredient, which comes from New Zealand, helps to prevent radical damage to the skin.

While these types of treatments might not be accessible for the average person, it is clear that both Beckham and Lopez are hooked on the ritzy facials.
