The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has stated that he will not be able to attend an invitation from the Nigeria Police Force.
Ajaero cited prior commitments as the reason for declining the invitation.
This information was relayed through a letter from his legal representatives, Falana and Falana Chambers.
The Police had requested Ajaero’s presence concerning allegations of criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime.
However, a letter from Ajaero’s lawyers to the Inspector General of Police mentioned that the timing of the invitation was inconvenient.
Excerpts from the letter stated, “We represent the Nigeria Labour Congress and its President, Joe Ajaero, who is unable to attend your scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 20, as the invitation was only received yesterday.
“He already had a prior engagement before receiving the invitation letter.”
