Lagos Taskforce Nabs Reckless Driver and Aids Accident Victim

On January 21, a severe incident took place involving Oluwole Bukola, a resident of Ibafo, Ogun State, leading to significant injuries.

 

The Lagos State Taskforce has apprehended Dauda Bello, a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident characterized by dangerous driving.

According to Gbadeyan Abduraheem, the Taskforce Director for Press & Public Affairs, the incident resulted in serious injuries to Oluwole Bukola.

Initial investigations indicated that the accident was a result of speeding and reckless behavior from the driver, who resides on Adebayo Street in Oshodi.

“Prompt action by our officers ensured the victim received urgent medical assistance, while the driver was quickly detained,” Abduraheem noted.

The Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Adetayo Akerele, emphasized the importance of safety on the roads following this incident.

“I encourage all motorists to drive carefully and be mindful of others on the road. Driving should not be viewed as a race, but rather a duty that demands patience and attentiveness,” he stated.

He assured residents that the agency is dedicated to upholding law and order, ensuring safety, and promoting responsible behavior among all drivers.

The accused is currently held by the Agency and will face legal proceedings in accordance with state regulations.
