A landlord named Bola Tobiloba has been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command in Abeokuta.
He faces allegations of sexually assaulting the 14-year-old daughter of one of his tenants.
Omolola Odutola, the command’s spokesperson, mentioned that the case was brought to light by the girl’s father around 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
Odutola reported that the victim sustained injuries, specifically a tear in her genital area that resulted in bleeding.
She stated, “On September 13, 2024, around 2:15 p.m., the survivor’s father filed a report at the Adatan Police Division, claiming that the landlord had assaulted his daughter.”
“The victim showed signs of injury, with blood present on the floor, which is believed to be from her, as well as on her clothing.”
It was also noted that the girl received medical attention following the incident, and the suspect remains in police custody.
