A man identified as Afolabi Ojo of Olujoda Street, Ado-Ekiti, has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ekiti State Command, over the alleged r*pe of a 4-year-old girl.
The suspect was arrested after the mother of the girl made a formal complaint at the office of the NSCDC in Ado-Ekiti.
The four years old alleged that Afo removed her pant and had carnal knowledge of her late last month.
Similarly, the mother of the girl, who spoke to journalists, stated that her daughter informed her about the incident.
However, the suspect denied all claims saying he was implicated.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Tolu Afolabi, said a medical report has confirmed that the hymen of the “little” girl has been broken, adding that investigation is ongoing.
