During the school’s 15th graduation ceremony on Thursday, Adesina won 15 award categories.

He won the best student in subjects like Data Processing, Civic Education, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

Other awards include the ‘Barr. Adimula’s Award for Best in Mathematics and English Language,’ ‘Ifeoluwa Tomiwa Makinde’s Award for Overall Best Student,’ ‘Mr Alaofin’s Award for Best Student in Chemistry,’ ‘Mr and Mrs Makinwa’s Award for Best Student in Economics,’ and ‘Mr Àjàyí’s Award for Best Graduating Student of Rehoboth College’.

In his valedictory speech, Adesina commended members of the staff of the college for their contribution to his academic success.

He said his performance during the last school certificate examination would not have been possible without their help.

He also appreciated the management of the school for their “zero tolerance for examination malpractice” during internal and external examinations.

On his part, Sam Popoola, the school proprietor, said the school has continued to leap in bounds in its bid to become the “school of choice in Kwara”.

Last week, Adesina revealed the inspiration behind his excellent academic results.

“I motivated myself into studying hard, knowing about so many things far from me and reading wide,” he said.

Adesina scored distinctions in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and four other subjects.

He also got 298 in the last UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
