Morka Responds to PDP’s Accusations
Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that the APC is not to blame for the internal turmoil within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he claims is experiencing significant difficulties.
This response follows accusations from former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, who suggested that the APC is responsible for destabilizing the PDP.
Morka made these remarks during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time segment on Tuesday.
Previously, Morka had dismissed claims that President Bola Tinubu had paid opposition figures N50 million each to influence the democratic process in Nigeria.
Atiku had made allegations against Tinubu’s administration regarding these payments, which were said to undermine political integrity.
Morka emphasized that the APC is focused on its own challenges rather than interfering with the PDP, saying, “The PDP is imploding, and this is apparent to everyone. Their issues are not caused by the actions of the APC.”
He added, “The APC is preoccupied with its own matters, resolving internal issues, fostering unity, and preparing for future challenges.”
According to Morka, the PDP should similarly address its internal conflicts rather than blaming the APC. He criticized Atiku and others for evading responsibility, stating, “Only ineffective individuals place blame on their tools. The PDP has shown itself incapable of managing its internal affairs.”
He questioned how the PDP expects to govern Nigeria effectively when they struggle with their own minor issues.
