A media figure has brought to light her experience with inappropriate messages from men, stating that she has endured being followed to different locations including her place of employment and personal spaces.

Joyce Chuks, a radio presenter based in Benin City, Edo State, has shared her unsettling encounters with sexual harassment linked to her profession.

In a recent post, she shared a screenshot of an explicit message from a man, describing alarming incidents where men have come to her workplace, engaged in stalking, and even followed her to her home and church.

“This is just a glimpse. Men have waited for me outside my workplace; I’ve experienced being stalked to my residence and my place of worship. Once, a friend was also stalked while with me. This shows the reality of being a public woman,” she expressed on September 23.

“Additionally, this is the formal stance of my workplace. You wouldn’t believe the types of messages I receive in my direct messages. One man even created several accounts just to harass me sexually, and he was a married individual with kids.”
