The Nigeria Labour Congress has expressed dissatisfaction with the economic policies of Bola Tinubu, stating that the administrations of Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari were more effective.
In an interview with Daily Trust, NLC spokesperson Benson Upah praised former President Buhari for his efforts in maintaining stability and improving living conditions.
Upah criticized Tinubu’s decision to remove fuel subsidy, highlighting the lack of consideration for its ramifications.
He also compared the exchange rates between the Jonathan administration and the current government, pointing out the deterioration in economic indicators.
According to Upah, Buhari’s administration was more favorable as he took steps to address salary and pension arrears and prevent drastic price hikes.
He emphasized the contrast in the economic situation between the previous administrations and the current state under Tinubu’s leadership.
