Paul Reubens heading on Pee-wee’s Big Adventure 35th Anniversary Tour
Pee-wee Herman is one of the most iconic children’s characters and 2020 marks the 35th anniversary of his first big-screen adventure, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, and to celebrate actor Paul Reubens is taking the film on a tour across America! (via VitalThrills)

The film, which was also the directorial debut of Tim Burton (Dumbo) and the first major studio film for composer Danny Elfman (The Grinch), saw the titular comedian go on a cross-country journey in search of his stolen bicycle. It was a critical commercial success, grossing nearly $41 million domestically on a $7 million budget and currently maintaining an 87% “Certified Fresh” approval rating from critics on review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes.
The tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature a special screening of the film followed by Reubens sharing stories about the making of the film and the writing of the character and will take place in 20 cities across America. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m. CST at Ticketmaster.com, with three levels of exclusive VIP packages including a secret gift and a photo opportunity with Reubens alongside a signed print.
