Photo Of ‘Physically Challenged’ Man Nabbed For S*xual Exploitation Of Minors In Niger State

A 25-year-old ‘physically challenged’ man has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command.

The man was nabbed for alleged s*xual exploitation of minors in Minna. 

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, November 10, 2023, said the suspect, Abubakar Hussaini, was arrested for procuration of minor girls, act of gross indecency and s*xual exploitation.

According to the PPRO, the suspect who claims to engage in alms begging for survival confessed to being involved in the s*xual exploitation of three girls aged 12 and 14, at different times with an inducement of N1000 each after the indecent act.

“On 31/10/2023 at about 1300hrs, the State Child Rights Agency referred one suspect; Abubakar Hussaini 25yrs of Makabarta Angwan-Daji, Minna, a handicapped person to SCID Minna for discreet investigation, having been suspected of procuration of minor girls and s*xual exploitation,” the statement read. 

During investigation, the suspect claimed that he engaged in alms begging within Minna metropolis for survival, and during his activities sometime in September 2023, three girls who were hawkers between the ages of 12/14yrs met him at ETB junction and sought for money from him, while he requested for a benefit in return.

“He confessed further, that since then, he had been having appointments with the three girls behind Zarmai Model School, Minna where he usually engaged in unlawful s*xual exploitation with them at different times, with an inducement of one thousand naira each after the indecent act. 

“Meanwhile, the girls are undergoing rehabilitation, counseling, and medical attention under the Agency, while the suspect has been arraigned before the court for prosecution.”
