Police Rescue Suspected Motorcycle Thief From Angry Mob Arrest Accomplice (via Primetweets)
According to a statement by DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the police rescued an alleged motorcycle thief, Muhammad Zangina Sulaiman, from a violent mob and detained his accomplice, Naziru Tijjani, recovering the stolen motorcycle in Jigawa.

Reportedly, the suspect Muhammad Zangina Sulaiman was almost lynched by an angry mob before the police intervened.

According to the police representative, the two suspects, Sulaiman and Tijjani, burgled the residence of Isah Abubakar and stole his motorcycle.

 

“On 23/07/2024 around 9:00 am, a report was received at the Sara Divisional Police Headquarters detailing the involvement of two suspects, Muhammad Zangina Sulaiman aged 22 from Unguwar Ganji village and Naziru Tijjani aged 25 from Saduwa quarters Sara town. The pair conspired to break into the home of Isah Abubakar, 43, from Bodinga village, and pilfered his red motorcycle,” as per the statement.

     

“After a confrontation, one suspect, Muhammad Zangina Sulaiman, was caught and subjected to severe beatings resulting in fractures to his leg and hand. The other suspect fled the scene on the stolen motorcycle.

     

“Upon receiving the report, officers from Sara Police Division swiftly responded, rescued the injured suspect, and transported him to the Sara Primary Healthcare for treatment.

     

“After subsequent investigation, Naziru Tijjani, who was evading arrest, was apprehended by the police during routine patrol on July 27, 2024, at approximately 1:00 pm, and the stolen motorcycle was found in his possession.

     

“During questioning, both suspects confessed to the crime. Once the investigation is concluded, they will be brought to court for prosecution.”
