Portable Makes Bold Claim About Grammy Wins
Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, recently shared a bold statement on social media.
He claimed that any musician who collaborates with him has a guaranteed chance of winning a Grammy Award.
This declaration came in the wake of the 67th Grammy Awards, during which Tems achieved a remarkable milestone by winning her second Grammy.
According to Portable, “Olamide brought me into the scene and I emerged from oblivion. With God’s guidance, if not for being overlooked, I could have won a Grammy myself. Collaborate with me if you’re aiming for a Grammy, and I’ll provide the chorus while you deliver the verse; a mere woman has taken the Grammy from you all.”
In a video accompanying his remarks, he added: “I refuse to consider failure my only option. I have no backup; I am my own backup. This is why I hustle hard. I trust my instincts, and I view every setback as a new opportunity.”
