Concerns Over Tuface Idibia’s Relationship Announcement
Gimba Kakanda, serving as the Senior Special Assistant to the President for Research and Analytics, suggested that Tuface Idibia’s recent declaration about his relationship with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru may be ill-timed.
On Monday, February 10, amidst ongoing speculation about their connection, 2Baba made headlines by appearing at the Edo State House of Assembly during a legislative session, which many interpreted as a sign of his involvement with Osawaru.
As people speculated about the purpose of his visit, it quickly became perceived as an endorsement of their rumored romance.
Two days later, on February 12, the acclaimed artist responded to the speculation via a video on Instagram, where he professed his love for the lawmaker, stating: “Yes, I love her. I want to marry her.”
The following day, footage of 2Baba proposing to Natasha circulated online.
Kakanda voiced his apprehensions regarding the singer’s public acknowledgment, cautioning that it might expose Osawaru to online harassment, especially given the recent context of 2Baba’s split from Annie Macauley.
He remarked, “With his divorce still fresh and some virtual in-laws baying for his blood, I doubt this is the best time for 2Face Idibia to advertise his new or next love interest. This would only subject her to fierce cyber-bullying. But then again, she probably wants or asks for this.”
