Young individuals in Niger State are currently participating in a protest due to the deepening economic challenges across the country.
In defiance of attempts by both Federal and State authorities to quell the protests citing the risk of infiltration by miscreants and adversaries of democracy, the youths rallied on the streets to voice their discontent with the prevailing cost of living crisis.
The demonstrators were observed chanting anti-government slogans and brandishing signs with messages such as ‘Enough is Enough’; ‘Stop Anti-Masses Policies’; ‘We Are Not Slaves In Our Country’; ‘Hardship Is Unbearable’, ‘Fuel Subsidy Must Be Back’, and more.
Reported by Daily Trust, some of the protestors at the Abuja-Kaduna expressway opted not to engage with journalists who approached them for comments.
