Ricky Gervais’ After Life renewed for a third season at Netflix

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has officially renewed Golden Globe winner Ricky Gervais’ black comedy-drama series After Life for a third season. The renewal comes after more than a week since the series had debuted its second season in April. In addition, Gervais has also signed a multi-year overall deal with Netflix to develop new scripted shows and stand-up comedy specials exclusively for the streaming service.

“I was planning to retire soon and just wander around the house drunk until I die, but I’ve grown a bit tired of doing that during the lockdown, and also Netflix made me an offer I couldn’t refuse,” Gervais said in a statement.
