Patients affected by the outbreak are experiencing severe symptoms such as intense headaches, high fever, jaundice, and stomach pain. There are currently over 30 individuals bedridden due to these symptoms. Community members have been urged to promptly report any suspicious symptoms to the health center at Chessi Primary School.
In response to the crisis, Alhaji Musa Buba, the representative of Balanga North Constituency in the Gombe State House of Assembly, has donated drugs and essential supplies valued at over 1.5 million naira to aid the affected individuals. He commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for deploying a team from the Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to address the situation.
Several patients, including Habiba Salisu, Aisha Mohammed, and Mohammed Sulaiman, expressed their appreciation to Hon. Musa Buba for his timely provision of necessary medications and supplies.
