Amina Yahaya, the state prosecutor, has filed charges of homicide against the accused, in violation of Section 121 of the Penal Code. The accused has denied the allegations.
A man named Magaji Nasir appeared in a Kano High Court located in the Rano Local Government Area, facing accusations of murder.
The defendant, hailing from Bulbula village in the Rano LGA, is alleged to have attacked Zakari Ahmad at a rice market following a minor dispute, which resulted in Ahmad’s death.
Prosecutor Amina Yahaya has charged Nasir with homicide, as per Section 121 of the Penal Code, to which Nasir pleaded not guilty.
Judge Halima Aliyu Nasir has ordered that he be held in a correctional facility until December 17, 2024, for further witness testimonies.
