Teenagers Apprehended for Cult Activities in Lagos
The Lagos State Police have detained two individuals believed to be part of a violent cult group in connection with a vengeance plot following the murder of one of their members by a rival faction in Agege.
Alimi Abdurasak and Eniola Shamsideen, both aged 18, were taken into custody around 1:50 AM near the Agbotikuyo area by officers from the Elere Police Station.
Attempts to escape were made by the suspects upon noticing a police patrol unit nearby, but law enforcement officials, who had already suspected their intentions, managed to apprehend them.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, verified the details of the incident, stating that the arrest occurred on October 6, 2024, and that both suspects hail from the Oniwaya district of Agege.
“During the apprehension, a black bag was discovered in their possession. Upon inspection, it contained two axes and two bottles. Investigations are currently underway and the individuals will face court proceedings soon,” Hundeyin mentioned.
