The Niger State Police have detained a teenager named Wisdom Danjuma for allegedly robbing a POS attendant in Minna.
According to the police spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, a report was made on September 13, 2024, about a robbery at a POS shop located in the Bosso Low-Cost area, where the suspect threatened the female attendant with a knife and took N100,000.
“On the stated date and around 2:10 PM, a report came in about an armed robbery at the POS shop,” the statement mentioned.
“Following the report, local police and community members coordinated to arrest Wisdom Danjuma, 17, from the Jikpan area linked to this robbery.
“Investigation indicated that the suspect entered the shop, brandished a knife, intimidated the attendant, and stole a total of one hundred thousand naira.
“As the attendant cried out for help, the suspect attempted to flee but was pursued and captured by community members and police.
“The weapon and the stolen cash were retrieved from him, and he admitted that his actions were directed by two accomplices who are currently at large. Efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend them.”
