On Friday night, witnesses reported that an armed attacker with a rifle went from house to house, forcing families to give up their food and supplies.
A group of armed thieves carried out a brutal raid in Nasarawa Gabas, located in the Dunkawa area of Sabon Birni under the Sokoto State government, taking food and other valuables from local homes.
According to witnesses, the attacker moved through the neighborhood late on Friday, demanding that residents hand over bags of food and other essential items.
Reports to Zagazola Makama, a specialist on counter-terrorism in the Lake Chad region, indicated that the same bandit remained in the nearby community of Idi overnight.
As a result of these events, local residents are expressing fear about the potential for further attacks in the area.
