Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega, who leads the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), has shared insights into his luxurious lifestyle in the UK.
This statement follows a recent immigration tribunal ruling that ordered the 44-year-old pastor’s deportation due to overstaying his visitor’s visa since 2005.
The tribunal found that Adegboyega had attempted to remain in the UK based on human rights claims, despite the expiration of his visa. In his defense, he mentioned that his spouse, Mary Olubukola Alade, with an annual income of £100,000 from her job at AON, financially supports him.
Adegboyega expressed that his showy lifestyle aims to motivate the youth in his congregation, emphasizing that there are valid ways to earn money legally.
The ruling noted Adegboyega’s statement: “I live with my partner, Mary Olubukola Alade, who supports me financially. My work in the church is voluntary, and I have not received compensation from it.”
He also shared, “With a first-class law degree from Nigeria, I have dedicated my life to supporting those in need.”
In court, it was highlighted that despite his taste for designer clothes and luxury cars, every item he owns is funded by his wife. He firmly stated that dressing well serves as a source of inspiration for young people about entrepreneurship.
Responding to the deportation ruling, Adegboyega remained unshaken, rejecting the claims against him and asserting that no level of adversity would bring him down.
He declared, “I’m safe at home and there’s nothing to worry about. I will not be discouraged by negativity; every Nigerian should take pride in my achievements. I have faced many challenges in this city and emerged stronger.”
He affirmed his attachment to London, stressing, “I thrive here among the diverse community of leaders. I’m secure in my success, and nothing will change that.”
