Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen has shared insights on the reasons behind his use of a mask while playing.
In a recent conversation with media figure Daddy Freeze, he disclosed the motivation for his protective gear.
Osimhen explained that the mask is necessary because he has an iron plate implanted in his facial structure.
He went on to detail that he had to undergo surgery on his jaw, which involved the extraction of a piece of bone.
The player mentioned that he was initially hesitant about the surgery, but eventually agreed due to the urgency communicated by his physician.
“The doctor informed me that we needed to proceed with surgery urgently since I have iron in my face,” he expressed.
