On September 25, the Presidency announced that President Bola Tinubu is set to reorganize his cabinet.
During a press briefing, Bayo Onanuga announced that while the reshuffle is confirmed, he is uncertain about the exact timing, hinting that it might occur before October 1.
Onanuga stated, “The President has shown his intention to reorganize the cabinet, and he will proceed with this. I cannot say whether it will happen before October 1; what I can affirm is that it will happen, though no timeline has been provided.”
Regarding the current administration’s performance, Onanuga mentioned that during the last Federal Executive Council meeting, Tinubu encouraged ministers to actively communicate the administration’s achievements.
He highlighted that some ministers have been “media shy,” expressing a need for them to step forward and showcase their contributions.
“There is a perception that the government isn’t achieving enough, but in reality, significant progress has been made. It’s their responsibility to promote the accomplishments within their ministries.
“Ministers should take the initiative to share what they and their teams have accomplished.”
