Hon. Leke Abejide Calls Tinubu Nigeria’s Savior

In a recent interview, Hon. Leke Abejide, a representative for Yagba Federal Constituency, expressed strong confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to transform Nigeria.

He believes that by 2026, there will be widespread appreciation for Tinubu’s leadership. “People will see significant changes. He is the leader that Nigeria urgently needs,” he stated during the discussion on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

Abejide criticized the prior administration for Nigeria’s economic difficulties, attributing the downturn to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s excessive currency printing under Godwin Emefiele.

“Towards the end of the last administration, accessing just N1,000 became challenging. The amount of money printed has severely impacted our economy. How can we expect to be taken seriously with such practices?” he emphasized.

Looking ahead, he affirmed that conditions are improving, and he believes the exchange rate issues will be resolved over time, advocating for a transparent approach to economic challenges.

Abejide also mentioned that Tinubu’s proposed tax reforms are expected to lessen the country’s reliance on borrowing. “The reforms in the tax structure indicate that our need for borrowing will decrease, allowing us to better finance our budget and infrastructure,” he concluded.
