Tragedy Strikes: Four Family Members Die from Spaghetti in Katsina

A 20-year-old woman named Fatima Abdulkadir has been taken into custody by law enforcement, as she is suspected of preparing the meal.

 

Tragically, four family members lost their lives due to a poisonous spaghetti meal.

 

Reports indicate that among the deceased were three children from the Magama Jibia region of Katsina State.

 

The individuals who passed away—Hussaina Ayuba, Ahmed Ayuba, and Nana Ayuba—were confirmed dead at Jibia General Hospital after consuming the spaghetti. A fourth victim, 12-year-old Hafsat Ayuba, is presently under care and reportedly responding positively to treatment.

 

This tragic incident was reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his verified X account. He mentioned that the victims were taken to the hospital shortly after eating but unfortunately, they did not survive the effects while receiving care.

 

In an unexpected turn, Fatima Abdulkadir, the woman alleged to have cooked the spaghetti, has been arrested along with two additional suspects, raising suspicions of foul play.

“Sources indicated that Fatima Abdulkadir, who is connected to the preparation of the noodles consumed by the victims, has been apprehended along with two unnamed accomplices,” Makama shared.

 

Officials have visited the location where the incident occurred, and an investigation is in progress to uncover the precise cause and context surrounding the fatalities.

 

The remains of the deceased have been handed over to their families for burial in accordance with Islamic traditions.
