Tiri Gyan David, a lecturer at the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State, was tragically killed in a recent bandit assault.
The unfortunate incident took place during the early hours of Tuesday when bandits attacked his home in the Yarima Quarters, Low-Cost Estate. The assailants carried out the attack with advanced weaponry, causing chaos and terror among the residents.
Moreover, in addition to the brutal murder of the lecturer, the bandits also abducted two of his children, further escalating the heinous nature of the assault.
While the Katsina Police Command is preparing to issue an official statement regarding the tragic event, the region remains embroiled in frequent bandit attacks. Despite the state government and security forces’ efforts to maintain peace, areas like Dutsinma continue to be plagued by incessant acts of banditry.
