The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of Faisal, the son of former Kaduna State Governor, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi.
Faisal tragically lost his life in a car accident on the Kaduna-Kano highway on Saturday.
During the update, Sector Commander Kabir Nadabo stated that two other victims of the incident were “still unconscious.”
The collision occurred at Lambar Zango on the Zaria-Kaduna Highway “at 18:15hrs.”
Reports indicate that the KIA vehicle, traveling from Zaria to Kaduna, lost its front right tire, leading to the vehicle flipping over.
Nadabo mentioned that a response team from RS1.17 Birnin Yero promptly arrived at the scene.
”Upon arrival, it was discovered that a family member of one of the victims had arranged for his transfer to an unnamed hospital in Kaduna for emergency care.”
”Therefore, the rescue team managed the accident site to clear any obstacles and restore traffic. It later came to light that the son of former Governor Sen. Ahmed Makarfi was involved in the incident.
”Once at the hospital, Faisal was pronounced dead, while the driver and another passenger remain unconscious at the time of this report.”
