Trump Prohibits Transgender Treatments for Minors
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump announced a nationwide ban on transgender-related medical procedures for children.
Under the newly signed executive order, actions such as chemical castration and other irreversible treatments are deemed illegal for minors in the U.S.
Additionally, he stated that federal resources will no longer be allocated or endorsed for what he referred to as “gender affirming care.”
In his announcement, he emphasized, “It is with immense pride that I sign this Executive Order, outlawing the chemical castration and medical mutilation of innocent children in our nation. We will cease all funding, sponsorship, and support for so-called ‘gender affirming care,’ which has led to suffering for far too many vulnerable lives.
“My directive instructs agencies to utilize every means possible to halt federal funding for organizations that endorse these inhumane medical practices, which should never have been permitted in the first place!”
