One couple’s romantic encounter took a dangerous turn when their SUV rolled into a river in Philadelphia as they engaged in intimate activities inside the vehicle.
The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. near the Schuylkill River in Fairmount Park, where the couple was reportedly inside a 2020 Range Rover. According to police statements to NBC10, the SUV plunged into the water after one of the individuals accidentally hit the gear stick while in the backseat.
The Range Rover quickly sank into the river, a few miles away from Philadelphia City Hall. Fortunately, the couple managed to escape the vehicle before it submerged and were unharmed.
Authorities speculated that the couple’s amorous activities led to the unforeseen accident. The submerged Range Rover was later recovered from the river around 9 a.m.
No legal actions are being pursued against the couple by law enforcement in relation to the incident.
