Unidentified Criminals Assault Two First-Year Students in Ogun

During the early hours of Monday, July 22, 2024, unidentified criminals forcibly entered the accommodation of two first-year students, taking their personal items.

Two female students in their first year at Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, were allegedly assaulted by unidentified criminals.

As reported by Punch, the criminals entered the students’ residences around 12:30 am on Monday, July 22, 2024, and forcefully took the victims’ personal belongings.

An undisclosed source at the institution revealed that the criminals, armed with guns, demanded the students’ phones and other possessions before leading them to an unfinished building where they assaulted them.

Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, verified the incident, noting that actions are being taken to capture the perpetrators.

“The incident was reported at the Igbeba Police Division around 10:00 am. Our officers promptly searched the area for the suspects. We are actively pursuing the arrest of all involved in this terrible act,” she explained.

“For now, the victims have been admitted to the school’s clinic for medical attention.”
