Vanessa Bryant is under no obligation to share what she’s feeling at the moment, but she was apparently moved to speak out thanks to the incredible support she has received from the world. “My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time,” she captioned a photo of her gorgeous family, including Kobe and daughters Natalia, Gigi, Bianka, and Capri Bryant. “Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them.”
Vanessa, who admitted she’s “completely devastated by the sudden loss,” also took a moment to acknowledge the other families affected by the crash. “We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately.” The California native directed fans to the MambaOnThree Fund, an effort that will “help support the other families affected by this tragedy.” The fund was set up by the Mamba Sports Foundation.
Vanessa said she can’t imagine what her family’s life will look like “beyond today,” though she takes “comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved.” She concluded her message by vowing to “keep pushing” because Kobe and her “baby girl” Gigi are “shining” on them to “light the way.”
