On December 13, a tense debate unfolded on Arise TV between news anchor Rufai Oseni and Lere Olayinka, spokesperson for the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Lere was present to discuss the brief demolition notice issued by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) concerning property linked to the late Colonel Paul Ogbebor.
The Ogbebor family has alleged that Wike is unlawfully attempting to seize the property valued at N3.5 billion to reallocate it to an ally.
During the dialogue, Rufai questioned the conditions imposed by “you guys,” referring to Wike and the FCT officials.
Lere retorted that calling Wike and the FCT authorities “you guys” was disrespectful, which escalated the conversation.

Olalere Olayinka was deliberately being offensive. The best form of defense against someone like Rufai is to be offensive. pic.twitter.com/nSQndvOwYd
