A clip showing Ghana’s newly inaugurated President, John Mahama, mistakenly addressing Nigeria’s leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the President of Ghana has gone viral online.
This mix-up occurred during Mahama’s inauguration ceremony on January 7.
At 65 years old, Mahama returns to the presidency after previously serving from July 2012 until January 2017. He takes over from Nana Akufo-Addo. Mahama initially assumed the presidency when John Evans Atta Mills passed away in July 2012 and later won the election in 2012.
